Abstract
Some
keywords are traditionally associated in political discourse with
respectively the Left (jämlikhet “equality”, solidaritet
“solidarity”) and the Right (valfrihet “freedom of choice”,
skattesänkningar “tax reduction”). However we can see in modern
political discourse that some keywords are used by everyone, such as
välfärd “well-being”, folkhemmet “home”, democratisk
“democratic”, which are all terms used by all political parties,
wherever they place themselves on the Left-Right scale. Does this
mean the death of ideologies or that both the Right and the Left are
trying to take over each other’s vocabulary? The subject will be
developed according to the conference’s thematics, taking into
account the role of language in constructing new national identities.
Résumé
Dans
le discours politique, certains mots-clés sont traditionnellement
associés avec respectivement la gauche (jämlikhet
'égalité', solidaritet
'solidarité') et la droite (valfrihet
'liberté de choix', skattesänkningar
'réduction des impôts'). Or, dans le discours politique
contemporaine, on observe l'usage généralisé de certains mots-clés
comme välfärd
'bien-être', folkhemmet
'≈ le foyer', demokratisk
'démocratique', termes utilisés par toutes les parties
politiques, peu importe leur position sur l'échelle gauche–droite.
Ce fait annonce-t-il la mort des idéologies, ou indique-t-il que la
droite est en train de s'approprier le vocabulaire de la gauche et
vice versa ? Le sujet sera développé dans la thématique du
colloque, en prenant en compte le rôle du langage dans la
construction de nouvelles identités nationales.
